On a distant planet, Stephan and Gisèle face the end of a world devastated by war. Two enemy peoples embark on a space quest that will bring them back to Earth, through epic intergalactic battles set to the music of Beethoven. Will they succeed in restoring peace and harmony among humankind?
The story is loosely inspired by the librettos of Beethoven’s two incidental scores, King Stephan and The Ruins of Athens.
